According to Mr Gupta, it is proposed to shortly allow restaurants and bars to remain open 24x7 with the primary objective to serve wine, whisky and beer. He forewarned Mr Kejriwal to desist from spoiling the social fabric of Delhi with an advise to the government to drop the proposal and find out other ways and means to earn revenue.  

A detailed draft report has been prepared.Mr Gupta warned the Delhi government that BJP will not allow the Kejriwal government to promote whisky and wine culture at the cost of women’s safety as well as law and order situation.Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta criticised the AAP government’s proposed move to allow serving of liquor 24x7 in bars and restaurants in the city. He said that such a move was not only dangerous for the social fabric of the society, but will also lead to  nylon stretch Factory law and order problem in the national capital. Without taking into consideration our culture and law and order situation, it is said that this policy is prevalent in many countries," he said. A formal proposal is expected to be shortly placed before the Cabinet for approval after which it will become a rule.He claimed that in order to encourage sale of hard drinks and enable hotels and restaurants keep their bars open day and night, the government is proposing to reduce the licence fees by half.."The non-hard drinks like beer and wine have been proposed to be sold at small food outlets. Mr Gupta expressed concern that in the new policy, it is also proposed to allow sale of beer and wine in small restaurants and outlets. "The BJP will fight against the promotion of night life at the cost, " he added
